& INTEGRATION

Graphite Mining is proud to introduce ISWI, an innovative in-vehicle voice notification system designed to simplify driver alerts and enhance driving safety. With the proliferation of in-vehicle information systems, the need for a more intuitive and driver-friendly notification system has become increasingly apparent.

ISWI was developed to address this need and provide drivers with clear, concise, and easily understandable voice warnings.

Unlike traditional buzzer alerts, ISWI speaks to the driver through pre-recorded voice clips, eliminating confusion and enhancing situational awareness. The system replaces all buzzer notifications, and a separate speaker with the ISWI interface is supplied and fitted to the telemetry device. The volume control is adjustable and can be set by the installing technician to ensure optimal audibility.

At Graphite Mining, we recognize the importance of driver safety and strive to implement innovative solutions that enhance our operations while ensuring the safety of our workers. ISWI represents a significant step forward in this regard, and we are proud to offer this cutting-edge technology as one of our products and integration to our platform.

Voice notifications include weather conditions, prompting them to stop operations until the weather clears up. The system also generates automated safety checks, driver identification, seatbelt reminders, overspeed and excessive idle warnings, and other important alerts.

In addition to its advanced capabilities, ISWI can also be customized to speak in any language required by the mine, making it a versatile and adaptable solution for fleets operating in diverse regions. At Graphite Mining, we are committed to utilizing innovative technologies to provide unique solutions tailored to the specific needs of our operations. With ISWI, we are confident that we have taken a significant step forward in enhancing driver safety and improving overall operational efficiency.

Nicholas Auto Enterprises (NAE) provides a top-of-the-line Engine Protection System (EPS) that monitors up to 11 critical conditions, including engine, transmission, electrical, and user-definable parameters. With this EPS, early warnings and safe engine shutdowns are facilitated for faulty conditions, ensuring reliable and secure engine performance.

The EPS system is equipped with various sensors to monitor critical conditions such as oil pressure, coolant temperature, low coolant level, transmission temperature, hydraulic oil temperature, low fuel level, battery voltage (low and high), alternator, engine speed (over and under speed), engine hours, and service schedule. By monitoring these parameters, the EPS provides real-time diagnostics and preventative maintenance information, enabling early detection and resolution of issues that could lead to engine failure.

As part of our collaboration with NAE, we have integrated the EPS into our graphite mining software.

This integration allows us to conveniently view EPS messages on our platform, download EPS messages for multiple days, and monitor the live EPS status page for all vehicles in use. By leveraging the capabilities of the EPS, we can achieve zero engine failures and maximize production efficiency while ensuring the safety of our workers and equipment.

Break Test Ramp Development

BRAKE TEST RAMP
SOLUTION DEVELOPMENT

Our innovative Brake Test Ramp system provides critical safety features to ensure vehicles on mine sites pass necessary brake tests. The system utilizes in-cab buzzers or voice prompts to alert operators when a brake test is incomplete or has failed, allowing for quick action to be taken.

To function effectively, brake test zones are created on the Graphite Mining platform and loaded to all NFMS systems on a mine site. When a vehicle enters the brake test zone, the system detects and records at least two stops within the brake test zone. The in-cab buzzer alerts the operator with one beep for each stop detected. Upon successfully completing the brake test and exiting the zone, the IZWI unit installed triggers a voice prompt, thanking the driver and wishing them a safe journey.

If less than two stops are detected, the system will alert the driver via two long beeps or a voice prompt from the IZWI unit, indicating an incomplete brake test. This allows the operator to redo the brake test before entering the pit area, ensuring maximum safety for all personnel and equipment.

Our Brake Test Ramp system is just one example of our commitment to safety and utilizing technology to enhance operational efficiency while reducing risk.

Graphite Mining has been instrumental in assisting NAE to provide a solution to the brake test ramp challenge. Through the integration of the Brake Test Ramp system with the NFMS and IZWI units, Graphite Mining has enabled NAE to deliver a reliable, efficient, and easy-to-use solution for brake testing in mining operations. With the Brake Test Ramp system, operators are alerted quickly and accurately to incomplete or failed brake tests, allowing for swift action to be taken to ensure safety on mine sites. Graphite Mining's partnership with NAE demonstrates our commitment to providing innovative and effective solutions to enhance safety and operational efficiency in the mining industry.

The development of the seatbelt monitoring system was a crucial step towards enhancing driver safety, and it was undertaken in partnership with Nicolas Auto Enterprises (NAE). This innovative system is capable of accurately detecting whether the driver has fastened their seatbelt or not, and it issues an alert to remind the driver to fasten their seatbelt before operating the vehicle. By integrating this cutting-edge technology, drivers can rest assured that they are taking the necessary precautions to ensure their safety while driving.

This valuable safety feature can be monitored on the platform and enables alerts and reports to be generated or scheduled based on seat belt activity. These advanced features of the Graphite Mining platform serve to enhance driver safety and increase awareness of proper seat belt usage.

Additionally, there are two levels of warnings for drivers to be alerted to fasten their seat belts, including an audible buzzer and a pre-recorded voice clip through the IZWI system.

When the driver's seat belt is not fastened and the vehicle speed exceeds 15km/h, a warning will be triggered. There are two levels of warnings: Level 1 is triggered when the seat belt is not detected and the vehicle is traveling over 15km/h, while Level 2 is triggered if the driver continues to drive without fastening the seat belt for two minutes.

Both levels of warning include an audible buzzer and a voice clip that can be repeated until the driver fastens their seat belt or the vehicle speed decreases below 8km/h. The platform device page displays the warnings, and SMS and email alerts can be set up.

Tyre Pressure Monitoring

TYRE TEMPERATURE
MONITORING

Graphite mining has played a vital role in enabling Nicholas Auto Enterprises (NAE) to integrate cutting-edge technology into its operations. One such technological innovation is the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) , which has been seamlessly integrated with our mining platform.

The tyre temperature and pressure monitoring system by TyreCOP has been is designed to accurately report tyre pressures per position and ambient temperatures at each position. The data is then displayed on our Graphite Mining Platform.

Notably, the TPMS is capable of alerting the driver and platform users in the event of abnormal pressure detected, thus mitigating the risks associated with low or high tyre pressure. The system is versatile and can be installed on any vehicle up to an ADT, with no larger vehicles recommended. Additionally, the TPMS features customizable properties, allowing users to add ideal pressures on the platform for reference.

TyreCOP's innovative system is designed to monitor the brake area temperature on Hitachi EH3000/EH3500, and promptly alert operators and other relevant personnel when the wheel motor temperatures exceed safe limits. NAE's fleet management system is integrated with TyreCOP to ensure that the operator is immediately notified when the temperature limit is reached, with a clear message to park the vehicle safely, idle for 15 minutes, and turn off the engine. This advanced technology allows for timely preventive measures to be taken, ensuring operator and vehicle safety.

At Graphite Mining, we remain committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance our operations and promote safety, efficiency, and productivity.

Graphite Mining has developed a revolutionary solution that addresses one of the most significant challenges in mining operations - poor reception in remote locations. The integration of an Iridium satellite unit with a telemetry device provides a reliable and efficient solution for mining sites where there is no GSM signal or very poor reception.

The Iridium satellite unit leverages the Iridium network to provide a satellite-based connection that enables seamless communication in areas where there is no GSM signal or poor reception. Although using a satellite connection incurs high data costs, the unit has been designed to update every hour or only on events, with select data transmitted to keep costs low. This enables the generation of production reports of machines working in areas with no reception and allows for alerts to be set up for specific events.

The IRDM satellite unit is a specialized modem that communicates with the Iridium satellite network, arranged around the earth in such a manner that satellite connection is established within ten minutes. If a connection is missed, data is logged on the NFMS and transmitted when the next satellite is available. Notably, no GSM connectivity is required for the unit to transmit data, and the modem antenna must be mounted on the roof of the machine with an unobstructed view of the sky.

Data is logged on board the main NFMS unit, with transmission occurring every hour where activity is continuous. Any event such as ignition on/off or engine on/off is transmitted immediately, depending on satellite connection availability. Additionally, tags can be loaded and removed from the unit remotely, and alerts can be scheduled and received by EMAIL or SMS, including ignition (ON/OFF), engine (ON/OFF), and idling (5/10 Minutes).

At Graphite Mining, we remain committed to leveraging innovative technology to enhance safety, efficiency, and productivity in mining operations.
